Simple Task Management in Roam Research

September 25, 2020 By greenmellen Leave a Comment

While our agency uses an external system for managing client projects and tasks, I use Roam for my personal tasks. Over the past few months I’ve tweaked my system to make it as friction-less as possible and I think it’s pretty solid. Here’s how I do it:

In the video I showed two queries that I’m using, and here they are for you to tweak and use for yourself:

Any recurring items mistakenly marked complete?

{{[[query]]: {and: [[DONE]] [[recurring]] {not: {or: [[Template]] [[query]]}}}}}

Any TODO items not yet scheduled?

{{[[query]]: {and: [[TODO]] {not: {or: [[Template]] [[Big Three]] [[2020goal]] [[2021goal]][[query]] [[scheduled]] [[Metadata]] [[videostocreate]] }}}}}

I hope this is helpful for you! If you want to learn more about Roam Research, I strongly recommend you take a look at Nat Eliason’s Roam course. I took it, and it taught me a ton of things I didn’t know. Learn more here: http://gmm.to/natroamforte
